Thermodynamics
The word thermodynamics derived from the Greek word ‘thermos’ which means heat and “dynamis which means flowing. Therefore, thermodynamics is the branch of science that deals with the relationships between heat and other forms of energy or it describes how thermal energy is converted to and from other forms of energy.
