In class 12 chemistry we have to study about Volumetric Analysis which comes under General and Physical Chemistry. Students can easily study about the gravimetric analysis, volumetric analysis, titration, relation of mass with atomic number and other topics if they have proper notes. So, inorder to help you in your studies we have provided the complete notes PDF of Volumetric Analysis chapter.
Volumetric Analysis Class 12 Chemistry Notes PDF contains all the handwritten notes which includes important questions as well as syllabus based study material. You can download the notes PDF for personal use.
Unit – 1
Volumetric Analysis
Volumetric Analysis falls is the 1st unit of class 12 chemistry. One of the fundamental branches of chemistry is Analytical Chemistry. It deals with the qualitative and quantitative analysis of different substances.
In qualitative analysis, elements and radicals are identified in a given substance using various physical and chemical tests while in quantitative analysis, various operations are performed in order to estimate the relative proportions by weight of different constituents present in the given substance.
The estimation of the relative weight of the constituents are mainly carried out by three operations viz. Gravimetric Analysis and Volumetric Analysis and Instrumental Analysis. We discuss only gravimetric and volumetric analysis in this chapter.
Key Objectives
When you have finished studying this unit, you should able to;
- know the concept of gravimetric analysis, volumetric analysis and equivalent weight. establish the relation between equivalent weight, atomic weight, and valency.
- find the equivalent weight of acids, bases, salts, and oxidizing agents and reducing agents.
- explain units of concentration such as percentage, grams per litre, molarity, molality. normality, formality, ppm, and ppb.
- describe primary and secondary substances, law of equivalence, normality equation, acid base titration, and redox titration.
- solve the numerical problems related to gravimeric and volumetric analysis.
Now let’s move on to the notes of this chapter. The PDF given below contains all the notes that is required from this chapter. We request students to use the notes of volumetric analysis chapter to prepare for their board examination.
You have to scroll the PDF to view all the notes of volumetric analysis. This PDF contains 20 slides in total which is enough to get prepared for volumetric analysis chapter. If you want to make extra preparation then you can practice class 12 chemistry model questions which will help you to know the questions pattern of board exam.
